Nel paesaggio inconfondibile del Lazio etrusco, il Parco comprende un insieme di forre scavate da torrenti nei pianeggianti tavolati di tufo e colli argillosi a boschi e pascoli. Istituito nel 1984, ricade interamente nel Comune di Barbarano Romano in un'area collinare tra i monti della Tolfa e i rilievi che circondano il lago di Vico. Grazie alla scarsa antropizzazione e alla morfologia dei luoghi è una piccola wilderness, dov'è emozionante scoprire le tracce del passaggio degli animali o esplorare ambienti solitari ammantati da una vegetazione lussureggiante.
