Lo storico Parco Nazionale, il più antico d'Appennino, comprende un settore nel territorio laziale suddiviso in tre settori, il più esteso dei quali si trova nella magnifica val Canneto. Grandi faggete, pascoli e rocce ospitano una ricchissima biodiversità che annovera tra i suoi protagonisti animali come orso, lupo, aquila e cervo. Sentieri ben tracciati consentono escursioni tra vette e vallate.
